If you had in fact checked out the photos here, China is producing warships like there is no tomorrow.  and China do drill in the South China Sea. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-05-09/cnooc-deploys-oil-rig-as-weapon-to-assert-south-china-sea-claims  Most of the other oil rigs operated by other nations are actually operated by Indonesia in the Natuna Islands, which are not claimed by China, and by Malaysia and Brunei, all in areas not claimed by China. And the Vietnamese offshore fields of Bac Ho and Dai Hung are within the Vietnamese claims not challenged by China.
