Basic rundown of the incident a few days ago: A drunken Viet starts beating/kicking his pregnant girlfriend in front of the meat department in a Safeway store in Monterey (Safeway is a big supermarket chain in the Western United States). A butcher comes out and tried to separate them, when the Viet does not want stop kicking his woman, the butcher hits him. Later, ppolice come and arrest the Viet.

Although the police commend the butcher's actions, Safeway puts him on unpaid suspension. Is this the way to "reward" him?
